A PDF engine written for this project — a parser and writer with no dependencies, handling classic xref tables, cross-reference streams, object streams and FlateDecode. It backs merge, split, rotate, images→PDF and metadata. Encrypted files are rejected with a clear message rather than producing corrupt output.
